James (Jim) Hill, DVM
Dr. Hill attended Purdue University Veterinary School. He started Vista Hills Animal Hospital in December of 2011. He has practiced on the south side of Indianapolis for 12 years before that. He has been practicing veterinary medicine since 1999. He likes to keep educated by going to many continuing education seminars. Dr. Hill has a dog named Kinley, she is a 1 year old mix breed he adopted. In his spare time he likes to go on mission trips, attend church, rebuild small engines, gardening, tractor pulling, and likes to volunteer when he has time. Dr. Hill chose his staff because the majority of them have worked with him in the past. He has high standards of care while, being flexible and understanding client needs and financial situations. Dr. Hill was a 10 year 4-H member and showed rabbits. His experiences in 4-H are the reason he became a veterinarian.
Paul Lory, DVM
Dr. Paul Lory was born and raised on the south side of Indianapolis. He graduated from Franklin College and Purdue University School of Veterinary Medicine. Dr. Lory has practiced veterinary medicine in the Indianapolis area for the past 13 years. He and his wife Julie have two sons, Josiah and Nathanael, and a lab named Gus. In his spare time, Dr. Lory enjoys spending time outdoors with his family, watching sports, and attending church.
Karsyn Neff, R.V.T.
Karsyn was born and raised in Crawfordsville, Indiana. She graduated from International Business College from the Vet Tech Institute in December of 2018. She has passed her boards and is a Registered Veterinary Technician. She has two cats named Buddy and Mimzy. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time out at Havens Hope Ranch and Stables with all the horses and hanging out with friends.
Elizabeth, Head Veterinary Assistant
Elizabeth Booth is a veterinary assistant with over 20 years experience. She has her associate degree in science. Elizabeth lives with her husband Brian, Children Tyler, Brandon, Benjamin and her cat Keiko.
Keegan, Veterinary Assistant
Keegan graduated from Harrison College with an Associate of Applied Science. He currently returned back to IUPUI for a degree in social studies education. He has one pet, a dog, named Ollie.
Brenda, Veterinary Assistant
Brenda has worked in the veterinary field for many years. She has a daughter in grad school and a son in undergrad. She has been married to her husband for 26 years. They also have 3 cats; Mystique, Duchess and Mabel. They were all rescue cats that found their forever home.
Shannon Strevels, Veterinary Assistant
Shannon went to Harrison College for Vet Assisting. She has worked with animals for over 10 years. She has three dogs, Daisy, Colt, and Lily. She also has two horses named Bubbles and Smokey. She enjoys going camping, horseback riding, going to sporting events, and spending time with her family and animals.
Dusty Griffin-Winslow, Veterinary Assistant
Dusty has worked in the veterinary field for over 30 years. She is very passionate about her job and will always go above and beyond to help animals in need. She has rescued several fur babies over the years. Her only two-legged child, Trevor, is currently in college studying aviation. In her spare time, she enjoys spending quality time with her spouse and friends.
Caitlin has a passion for working with animals and has worked in the animal field for over 10 years. She grew up always having dogs in her life and currently has 2 mixed breed babies, Polly and Bridget. She rescued them as puppies and truly loves and treats them as her fur kids. She also enjoys reading, cooking, especially baking, and has a degree from Ivy Tech in Culinary Art.
Fawn, Head Receptionist
Fawn has worked in the veterinary field for over 18 years and loves it more and more every day. One of her favorite parts about working in this field is the bonds she is able to create with the clients and patients. She is married and has 2 boys, Zachary and Benjamin. She also has her 4-legged children, a golden retriever named Jersey Lynn and cats; A.J. and Purrcy. She has a passion for photography and takes plenty of pictures while on the sideline watching her youngest son play football. She also loves coaching and watching her oldest son bowl in her “spare” time.
Dawn Herron, Receptionist
Dawn has worked in the veterinary field for over 30 years. She always has a smile on her face and is willing to help wherever needed. She is married with 2 daughters, Katie and Kellie. She has two dogs named Duke and Vinny and three cats, Feisty, Sam, and Smokey. In her spare time Dawn loves to play the Sims, reading, walking, and gardening.
